Do your paper straws hold up in drinks?
Yes, our paper straws are designed to last 2–3 hours in cold drinks without softening or disintegrating. The cardboard is treated for moisture resistance and remains biodegradable. For hot drinks, we recommend using the 8 oz cup lid instead of a straw. The Bubble Tea straw (Ø12 mm) is wide enough to allow tapioca pearls through.
What’s the difference between 6 mm and 8 mm straws?
The 6 mm diameter is standard for classic drinks: sodas, juices, iced coffees, light cocktails. The 8 mm diameter is wider, suitable for smoothies, milkshakes, and pulp-filled beverages. For Bubble Tea, the 12 mm diameter is essential for tapioca pearls. All our straws are black, biodegradable, and compliant with the European SUP directive.
