Frequently Asked Questions — Vacuum Bags
Can you cook in a standard vacuum bag?
Standard bags resist up to approximately 100°C and can handle light low-temperature water bath cooking. For prolonged sous vide cooking (more than 2 hours) or temperatures above 85°C, use 121°C cooking bags — they are designed to withstand heat without deforming or releasing substances. For pasteurization and autoclaving, only 121°C bags are suitable.
Are these bags compatible with my vacuum machine?
Our smooth PA/PE bags are compatible with chamber vacuum machines (the most common type in professional kitchens). For external suction machines (domestic type), embossed bags are generally required — our smooth bags only work with chamber machines. Check your machine type before ordering.
