Which saladette should I choose for a pizzeria?
For a pizzeria, we recommend the 6 x GN 1/3 saladette (GLD-SA150) or the 8 x GN 1/3 (GLD-SA180), depending on the number of toppings offered. GN 1/3 pans provide sufficient volume for standard ingredients (mozzarella, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms…). For pizzerias with an extensive menu, the 9 x GN 1/3 with lid (GLD-SC200) offers maximum capacity with improved preservation thanks to the hinged lid. What is the difference between GN 1/3 and GN 1/4 pans?
GN 1/3 pans (325 x 176 mm) are larger and suitable for bulk or high-volume ingredients. GN 1/4 pans (265 x 162 mm) are more compact and allow you to offer a greater variety of toppings within a limited space — ideal for sandwich shops with extensive choices. Our GLD-SA140 (6 x GN 1/4) is designed specifically for this use case.
Should I choose a saladette with or without a lid?
The hinged lid model (GLD-SC200) offers better ingredient preservation between services: it reduces drying, maintains freshness, and protects pans from dust. It is recommended for establishments that do not use the saladette continuously. Open models (SA) are preferred in kitchens with uninterrupted service, where quick access is the priority.
